Remodeled green home additions are always challenging and a lot of fun. The challenge is to save as much of the structure as possible the fun is to turn it into what your client tells you they need and invasion with-in their budget.
Check out the transformation on virtual tour as we complete this project. Besides turning this dated Ranch into a Lodge look. With a Tuscan flair we added the following green futures:
Out with the fiberglass insulation-in with the foam
Out with the drafts-in with the energy recovery ventilator and healthy interior air
Out with the baseboard heaters – in with 5 zones of comfortable radiant floors
Out with the propane wall furnace - in with a high efficiency air to water heat pump to heat or cool the floors per season
Out with the aluminum widows –in with triple glaze low-e argon vinyl windows
Out with polyester carpet and pad –in with tile and wool carpet directly applied
Remove the high maintenance wood decks-replace with pavers
Cover up that plywood siding with fiber cement board on board and fiber cement shake
Remove all the old split-warped fascia and trim-replace with composite materials
Our Clients are living in that trailer you see in the pictures, I need to get back to work, Good Bye.
